Zip Options

Zip Finish Options for Custom Covers

When designing a custom cover, there are two common ways to protect the zip and improve weather resistance.
Both options are durable and effective. The best choice depends on the level of weather protection required and the appearance you prefer.

Covered Zip

The zip is sewn into a shaped seam so that the fabric overlaps and conceals the zip from both sides. This creates a clean, streamlined appearance while helping to shield the zip from sun, dirt, and light weather exposure.

Storm Flap Zip

A separate fabric flap extends from one side of the cover and overlaps the entire length of the zip. This provides additional protection from rain and wind-driven water, making it a popular choice for covers exposed to harsher outdoor conditions.
