A professionally fitted sail cover is critical to maintaining the long term durability of your valuable mainsail. Our sail covers are designed to be big enough to cover the entire sail but loose enough so the sail is not squeezed in.
We use Sunbrella woven acrylic canvas, the global gold-standard in acrylic canvas fabrics. It is available in a huge variety of UV stable colours which are designed to stand up to many years in the harsh New Zealand sun. As the fabric is a woven material, it is breathable which helps keep the sail cool and dry to prevent mould and mildew.

Fabric edges are cut with a hot knife to minimize fraying. The underside of the cover is reinforced in key areas to add strength and durability, prevent stretching and also minimize shrinkage. Covers are professionally stitched using SunStop UV thread.
We use marine grade YKK zips at the mast closure which are designed to resist damage from UV rays and corrosion. The cover collar has a large velcro strap to provide a close fit around the mast. Fastex brand side-release clips are distributed along the lower cover edge at regular intervals.
